Movement for the Movement (MVMT) is an embodied practice rooted in a simple but radical understanding: how we organize our bodies is how we organize the world. This is the internal, often invisible labor of transformation — examining and shifting the patterns we want to dismantle "out there" as they live "in here," in our nervous systems, reflexes, and ways of relating.
MVMT works with the body as a primary site of change. Through guided, intuitive, and improvisational movement, participants learn to sense how dominant culture has shaped their habits, responses, and relational patterns — and how those patterns show up in their lives, their leadership, and their communities. We explore where urgency overrides care, where control replaces trust, where disconnection has learned to call itself strength.
At its core, MVMT is about getting free. Not through performance or perfection, but through presence. Participants are invited to notice where energy is bound, where resistance is held, and where freedom is already trying to move. We practice unlearning the embodied habits of domination, conformity, and self-abandonment — and experiment with new ways of moving, relating, leading, and creating together.
Movement becomes both method and medicine: a way to release inherited stories, reclaim agency, and develop the capacity to meet this moment and shape what comes next.
This is an open floor space that invites movement without rules, expectations or goals. Using music, our senses, intuition and imagination as our guides will cultivate a movement language that reveals new pathways to possibility and collective liberation. The practice cultivates embodied agency and collective capacity to help us break from cycles of domination and discover new ways of being, relating and creating in the world.

Liberation isn’t a one-time event, it’s something we train for, collectively. By subscribing to MVMT, you join ongoing practic for building the collective capacity to recognize and interrupt the patterns that undermine our work—burnout, urgency, reactivity—so we can sustain struggle, stay in relationship, and organize towards freedom. Subscriptions include two movement practices per month PLUS a monthly collective meet up to explore how we’re healing, growing, moving differently.
COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE
In this monthly movement experience, we'll be aligning our practice with the natural rhythms of the moon. Each lunar phase reflects different emotional and energetic states that impact our personal and collective movement. Working with the moon's cycles allows us to tune into the gravitational pull of nature towards healing and wholeness. Our community of practice meets twice per month: once on the FULL moon and once on the NEW moon. Mark your calendars 📆
